Biography
I am a principal photographer, designer and co-founder of Studio Auspex, a documentary wedding boutique in Bowling Green. I first discovered photography in high school through the magic of printing in the darkroom. As a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Photojournalism, my work has been published in various publications across the country. I am especially proud of my 8+ years as a staff photojournalist for the Daily News in Bowling Green.
In addition to photography, I am also versed in graphic design, including expierence with Earnhart+Friends, an advertising agency as a designer and staff photographer. In 2007, I became the Creative Director for Kentucky Bridal Magazine, overseeing all design and photography.
I am a current member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), Kentucky Professional Photographer’s Association and have been a member of the National Press Photographer's Association (NPPA), the Kentucky News Photographer's Association (KNPA), Kodak's Viewfinder Forum and Fuji's ProNet. I have won many awards and recognition for my photography from the NPPA, KNPA, the Associated Press, the Kentucky Press Association (KPA), Society of Professional Journalists, Kentucky Intercollegiate Press Association (KIPA), Columbia (NY) University and WKU.
I live in Bowling Green with my wife and 3 children.
